With the pending release of its newly redesigned A3 sedan, you can soon get an Audi for just under the $30k mark. Initially, there will be two models available, a 170-horsepower 1.8-liter TFSI that’s front-wheel-drive only as well as a 220-horsepower 2.0-liter TFSI model with Quattro priced at $29,900 and $32,900 respectively.

2014 Car Brand Report Cards: Acura & Audi Jump to Join Lexus at the Head of the Class

YONKERS, NY — Luxury brands rule the roost this year as Acura and Audi moved up a few spots to join Lexus with the top three highest scores in Consumer Reports’ annual car brand report cards.

A perennial top scorer, Lexus earned the highest marks (79) for the second straight year. Consumer Reports’ analysis finds the bulk of its models are usually quiet, comfortable, and fuel-efficient. Lexus was the only brand to achieve an excellent average overall reliability score.

24 Hours of Daytona Weekend Round Up

The 24 Hours of Daytona was held this weekend, round one of the new TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. Five Audi R8 LMS cars from four different teams were entered in the GT Daytona (GTD) class. Two cars from Flying Lizard Motorsports and one each from Fall-Line Motorsports, Paul Miller Racing and GMG Racing.

Three weeks ago the Audis showed great pace at the Roar Before the Rolex 24 (pre-event test days) and Flying Lizard Motorsports set the fastest overall GTD class lap time with their #45 Audi R8 LMS.

For the second year in a row, the Audi R8 V10 will lead the field of cars at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
