First Look: 2012 Audi S6, S7, and S8

In the past year, Audi has introduced all-new versions of its flagship A8 and midsize A6 sedans, as well as slotting the stylish A7 Sportback between the two. Ingolstadt is ready to crank up the trio's sportiness with the debut of the 2012 S6, S7, and S8, which debut at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show.

S models continue to pack more power than their standard counterparts, but don't expect massive ten-cylinder engines to fill the engine compartment. All three model lines now use a new twin-turbocharged, direct-injection 4.0-liter…

Audi USA News : Home : Remarkable Audi

When trance and chill out musician Ryan Farish began investigating new equipment to help him perfect his recordings a few years ago, he was struck by a review that compared its qualities to the engineered precision of an Audi. That was enough to sell him on the new gear  and a new car. As he developed songs that earned him a Grammy nomination, a 2008 Gospel Music Association Dove Award, enough tracks to fill eight albums and a style that has come to define The Weather Channel soundtrack, Farish burned them on a CD so he could hear how they…

Winding Road | Driven: 2012 Audi A6

When Seyth Miersma tested out the Audi A7, it was in the role of both intra-continental cruiser and mobile office. It proved capable in both tasks, transiting him and his fiance to New Orleans in utter comfort all the while turning heads, and delivering a somewhat reliable data connection. That test did not, however, prove the A7's mettle in the sort of day-to-day grind that it, and its platform-mate the A6, will have to endure during their lifetime.
To sample daily life in this new platform, we procured an A6, with the same eight-speed automatic transmission, Quattro all-wheel drive…

2012 Audi A7 3.0T Quattro3 - Car and Driver

The A7 is what the Porsche Panamera should have been. It certainly looks less improvised, more of-a-piece, and unlike the Porscheâ??s shotgun marriage of â??brand-identity markers to interior dimensional requirements. While the Panamera has sold well, luxury hatchbacks are still rare enough to be an untested novelty, so Audi deservesâ??and here receivesâ??credit for ditching caution and winging it with a beguiling departure from the routine.

Unlike the Benz, the A7â??s intriguing lines only enhance its practicality. Its 1.1-inch advantage in wheelbase widens the rear door openings and opens up legroom for the back passengers. As…
